In today's pandemic situation good food habits have become all the more important.
To be healthy, we have to do regular exercise. We set fitness goals for it.
It might take a pretty long time to achieve good health through regular exercise. The solution for this problem is to cultivate good food habits.
Before we achieve our set fitness goals we often feel discouraged and we give up. But to turn this into reality, there a few tips and tricks
Opt for water - We should set a goal to drink 3 litres or 12 glasses of water daily. Water flushes away the toxins from our internal body system and keeps us fresh and active. Instead of sugar-loaded drinks, opt for water. Chart out a table for how many times you will do this in a week.
Eat fresh fruits and vegetables - We should daily eat fresh fruits and vegetables. They are a good source of vitamins and minerals. They also have plenty of fibre content to fill you up and boost your gut health.
Fruits and vegetables are low in calories and fats. It means they can help you lose weight, lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure.
3. Eat slowly - Our busy work schedule has made us mechanical. We have forgotten the
importance of eating food slowly and chewing it well. Chew your food well. Eating food slowly allows all digestive juices to mix with your food. It helps in proper digestion and offers good health.
4. Make a habit to eat whole grains - Add whole grains to your meals. Start with your
breakfast. Regular eating of whole grains has many benefits. It helps to reduce risks of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. They support healthy digestion and reduce
chronic inflammation. They are rich in nutrients and fibre.
Along with some good food habits, these well said pointers can help us to maintain a healthy life.
Don't skip breakfast as it is the most important meal of the day
Take proper rest, sleep for 7-8 hours a day as it relaxes your body and refreshes your brain
Walk for at least one kilometer a day as walking keeps your heart healthy
Exercise daily as it manages your weight better
Last but not the least be positive, along with good food habits proper mental health matters a lot.
